History
History United Pentecostal Church in Europe
The brother Fernando Lemus and his family, church members Cuba (Pereira), grazed by HNO. Luis Rivera, arrived in London in 1997. From that moment began the search for a congregation to worship and glorify the Name of Jesus and met with many congregations and other Trinitarian be said that although the name of Jesus, they differed on some points of doctrine that the family had learned Lemus and persevered for more than 30 years.
The combination of thirst for love and glorify God to live according to what the Word of God commands and the reality of not finding a congregation that had the same thirst and restlessness, which resulted in the birth of a great missionary vision in The HNO. Lemus, who with the support of his family began to pray that the Lord would allow the Church of His holy name may be present in this country. In this way the HNO. Fernando Lemus contacted HNO. Abelardo Galvis, director of missions for the purpose of exposing the vision the Lord had placed in his heart. The HNO. Abelardo authorized HNO. Fernando meetings to begin in the Name of Jesus.
In 1998 he joined the HNO. Fernando Lemus and his family and HNO. Otoniel Gaviria and his family to begin meetings at the homes of HNOS, and thus begin to develop the vision that God had placed in the center under the direction of the Lord in prayer and support of the Colombian HNOS.
On 3 June 1999 he joined the group HNO. Arturo Arenas and his Family and HNO. Carlos Silva. Prayer and action were crucial, since as they prayed, but also contacting iban brothers to feel the desire to support this work.
By late 1999 growth had been remarkable and it was necessary to get a room. In the same way it began to feel the need to have a missionary sent from Colombia to take the congregation that the Lord had enabled born in this country. The administrative division that operated at this time was: Preacher: HNO. Fernando Lemus, Secretary: Brother Carlos Silva, Treasurer and Tax: HNO. Arturo Arenas. Evangelism Committee in charge of Sister. Carmen Arenas, Arenas and Cesar Arturo Quiñones.
According to the instructions of the Church in Colombia, the congregation was recorded in London in December 1999 as the United Pentecostal Church International. Sister. Jackeline Viera, has been very important for the administrative development of our congregation here in London.
The HNOS. Reinel Galvis, Abelardo Galvis, Alvaro Torres, members of the council of elders, came in response to the invitation of HNOS in London to recognize the work and the needs of a missionary. During their visit, they authorized the HNO. Fernando Lemus to lead the group for which he was awarded the credential of a preacher and thus HNO. Lemus was charged as long as the missionary was sent to Pastor Colombia. In the month of December came Brother Antonio Restrepo, who was Pastor of the Church of Jesus in Bethlehem (Medellín, Antioquia) as a missionary in London, in April, the whole family Restrepo Gallego came to London and to Today we witnessed the backing of the Lord in this beautiful book.
We greatly appreciate the prayers of the HNOS. because without them the Church would not be what it is today.
